A Bit About Me
Hello! I am Marina.
My Academic Background

I am a new teacher and passed my CELTA-certificate last year. I have been learning English for over 20 years now. I graduated with an MA in English Literature from Bangor University (Wales, UK) in 2017. I am also currently in the process of completing another MA in English Studies and finish my BA in Translation Studies from the University of Innsbruck (AT). I also hold a BA in English Language and Studies from Innsbruck.

Why I Created "Words and Meanings"

I aim to always design my lessons so that they will benefit you! Being a new teacher, I try to keep my rates very reasonable, because currently every student will also help me tremendously to further improve my skills as an English teacher. I enjoy learning languages myself and want to inspire the same sort of passion in others.

I am also an avid reader and writer. Since I enjoy helping other s achieve their full potential as students, I offer to help you to improve your assignments, so that they are grammatically flawless and polished and you can achieve the high grades you aim to achieve!

I am a native speaker of German and I have studied Translation Skills at university level. The two languages I can work confidently work in are German and English. If needed, I am also very fluent in Italian, and could translate from Italian into either English or German.

Some Personal Infomation

Obviously, I like languages quite a bit and it is a big interest of mine. I am currently working to teach myself Korean, I have dabbeled in Japanese and Arabic (though that one is really tough) and if I could pick another one, it would be either Hindi or Spanish. :)
I also love listening to music, reading, watching TV, going on long walks, yoga and swimming. I adore animals, particularly dogs and cats, and I am interested in psychology, art and history.
